Jointless Spiral Belt

A continuous spiral construction developed for selected guideless tissue packaging applications, eliminating the conventional overlapped splice.

STRUCTURAL CONCEPT

Eliminate the joint rather than improve it.

The concept shown in the technical presentation is structural: the traditional localized splice is removed and the belt is built as a continuous spiral construction.

No conventional overlapped spliceThe belt avoids the localized overlap used in traditional constructions.
No localized splice weak pointThe joint area is no longer the concentrated mechanical discontinuity.
More uniform behaviourThe construction is intended to distribute repeated cycling more uniformly along the belt.
Selected guideless applicationsFocused on tissue packaging duties such as selected handkerchief and napkin machines.
CONTINUOUS SPIRAL CONSTRUCTION

The structural idea

The presentation contrasts a conventional belt joint with a spiral continuous construction designed to remove the single joint zone.

MECHANICAL BEHAVIOUR

Why remove the splice?

The technical presentation focuses on higher resistance to tension and reduced risk associated with a localized joint limitation, with the objective of improving consistency during repeated operation.

TECHNOLOGY COMPARISON

Traditional joints versus jointless construction

The source material compares traditional overlap-joint and laminated-joint technologies with the jointless spiral approach, where the defining feature is the absence of the localized joint.
